Welcome to Solo Salon a full service salon and boutique, which I have prodly owned the past 2 years. I have been a stylist for the past 7 years and have focused my interests on both hair styling and hair coloring. My knowledge is wide spread in working with different types of colors and a variety of highlighting techniques. In doing so, I am constantly educating myself through various classes that focus on color, cuts, styles and techniques, and provide the encouragement to the staff to maintain that same level of attention for our clients. Our fantastic staff allows me to fully enjoy the business aspect of owning a salon. At Solo Salon the emphasis is placed on each individual stylist’s strengths and the pride we take in satisfying our clients and our willingness to give each individual client what they want. The respect and the family atmosphere we strive to provide our clients with is our prime goal.
Jennifer Kane – Stylist

Jennifer, the previous owner for 6 years is a premier stylist. She prides herself on her ability to excel in color, highlighting, haircuts and men’s haircuts. Jennifer is continually updating her knowledge of color and highlights through the various education courses offered throughout the area, in keeping with the up and coming trends. Jennifer’s long lasting reputation has allowed her to maintain her clientele year after year as well as increase it “via word of mouth”. Her knowledge of the industry and willingness to satisfy her clients makes her one of the leading stylists in Bergen County.
Marlyen Duarte – Stylist

Marlyen is a rare find and the newest member of our Solo Salon Family. Marlyen has a variety of talents and knowledge. Her talents range from her precision haircutting and color techniques to her expert art of blow drying thick, long, curly and coarse hair. She enjoys doing men’s and children’s haircuts and works exceptionally well with the razor. Marlyen’s amazing and creative “Updos” for special occasions are exceptional. She also brings to our salon her knowledge and certification in the “New Brazilian Keratin Treatment” (*we currently offer a formaldehyde free formula). Marlyen is a gifted stylist who along with her fabulous and warm personality “does it all” and we proudly welcome her to Solo Salon.
Suzi Varcadipane – Stylist

Suzi’s skills throughout her career have allowed her to grow and become a versatile colorists who specializes in haircuts and texturing. Her constant desire to be knowledgeable about new products within the industry allows her to meet the needs of her clients. Her creativity, experience and willingness to make suggestions to her clients is a quality that has given Suzi her success in the salon as well as throughout the industry. Those talents add an additional balance to Solo Salon.
Brenda Lewis – Head Assistant & Shampoo Technician

Brenda’s personality and ability to connect with our clients is what allows all our clients to feel at home. Her vibrant and outgoing personality shines not only as our shampoo technician, but in her caring and conscientiousness in making sure everything in our salon goes smoothly. Her relationship with all the stylists as well as our clientele makes her an invaluable member of our staff and a permanent fixture at Solo Salon.
